Brenda Vashaw

Brenda sings lead vocals,harmony vocals, plays acoustic guitar, mandolin, and percussion.  All five of her sisters play and sing quite nicely together, and husband Dan is the Bass player. Needless to say, family reunions are a blast!! Brenda cites folk music as her main influence. Singers such as Nanci Griffith, and Kate Wolf, inspired her to write music. She is also a big Deep Purple fan, and cites singer Ian Gillan as one of her favorite singers. Her first band was an acoustic trio called "Spirit," and played locally around the Golden Isles area.
