The band Brothers and Sisters once reigned the southeast Georgia coast, from Brunswick, St. Simons Island, Jekyll Island, St. Mary's, and Kingsland Ga. The band was formed in April of 1993,and has been together in many forms for years. Playing music is based on the great 70's ranging from Folk, Beach Music, Classic Rock, Country, and Bluegrass.

BnS have played in almost every bar in the Golden Isles area, also Fernandina Beach, St. Augustine, and Winter Haven Fl. Yes, the have played several weddings, even gigs on cruise ships. One of their most successful gigs was with the late great,Thom Brown from local band Flashback, when they opened the Jekyll Island Beach Music Festival with Three Dog Night in August of 1996. 

BnS went through a few changes since it's inception as an all "Acoustic" group called "Spirit," with Will Besley, Cindy Vachon, and Brenda Campbell. However, this classic line-up of Eddie Pickett, Tom Fitch, Cindy Vachon, Brenda C. Vashaw, and Dan Vashaw will always be remembered as the original "Wharfratz". Brenda & Dan still come down from Atlanta a few times each year to stomp out some classic Rat Jamz...
